Bad Mama!

Soooooo....I'm running late for Daniel's baseball game this past Saturday (like always) and decide, as I'm taking them out of the car, to just put the babies in the stroller, get everyone inside the park and then I'll put on the seat belts once we get there.  Well, minutes after we park ourselves by the bleachers, Jazlyn reaches over to grab something she sees on the ground and well, rolls out of her stroller head first onto the sidewalk!  And this was the result......

I feel terrible!!  And now, I have to face her dad when I go pick him up at the airport tomorrow!  Wish me luck!  hehe!

Yesterday, I was unable to share a couple of other things I did over the weekend.  Here are a couple of projects I did using the S4L September Kit (still available):

"You Can Do It" Card

"I {heart} a Good Book" Bookmark

I also did a few "Thank You" Cards during S4L Cyber Crop!  Check them out!

Oh, I  had almost forgot about this one.  I made this card for my goddaughter who will turn 9 in a couple of weeks.  (Eek!  I hope she's not reading!)  This was based on a sketch by Kazan from 2 Sketches 4 You.  She was hosting the crop at Scrap4Life.

I got my October kit hand-delivered to me this morning by Jodie so I've been playing with that this evening!!  The papers in this kit are gorgeous!!!!  Just a few more days and she will reveal it!!  Woohoo!!!

Have a BLESSED week!!

S4L September Kit

Well, I finally got to play with my September Kit from Scrap4Life!  Thanks to the online crop that was going on this weekend!!!  I didn't get lots done but hey something is better than nothing!  hehe!

If you haven't seen the kit yet...here it is!  There are only like 3 kits left in the store!!

And here is what I did with the kit!!  This kit was soooooo much fun!!!  I love the fun colors!   Here's Miss B on her first day of kindergarden!

And these pics were taken on her last day of Pre-K.  hehe!  She adored her teachers.  I also used a sketch for Pink Sketches for this layout.

There's my big boy off to middle school!!  Time sure does fly!  I used a sketch for this one, too.  This time it was from So Sketchy.  Fun sketch!

I also got some cards done this weekend!  I'll have to post those tomorrow!  Have a great week full of God's blessings!!

15 Years!

Today, Carlos and I will have been married 15 years!!  Wow!  Time sure does fly!  It feels like yesterday!  I made this card for him using this week's sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You .

Unfortunately, I was unable to give him the card.  His grandmother passed early this morning and so he had to leave to Puerto Rico.  I feel so bad for him.  He adored his grandmother!  Please keep his family in your prayers as they go through this time of sadness.

A "Scrappy" day for me!

Yesterday, I had a fun "scrappy" day!!  The kids destroyed the house in the meantime but it was all good!!  lol!  I really needed to do some scrappin'!  The in-laws had kept me busy all of last week and then going away for the weekend meant no scrappin' for me.  But I made up for it yesterday!  hehe!

The first layout was done for two different challenges.  The first challenge was by Scrap4Life and it was to create a layout without a title.  eek!  I always use titles on my layouts.  But it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be (thanks to the S4L girls).  The second challenge I did this for was over at Simply Obsessed.  It was a sketch challenge using the following sketch...such a fun sketch to work with!
The photo was taken while I was visiting Puerto Rico this past summer.

Supplies Used:  Bazzill Cardstock, Pink Paislee PP & Die-cuts, Doodlebug Paper Frills, Top Line Creations Quote (very old), Colorbox Ink (chestnut roan) and Chocolate Zig Writer

Earlier this month, it was Grandparent's Day.  I always forget that holiday.  Oops!  Well, one of the challenges over at Scrap4Life was to create a layout about grandparents.  These are mine!  And I used another sketch!  This time it was from Pink Sketches.  Have you seen their sketches?!  Wow!  They are awesome.  This particular sketch was from a few weeks ago but you know me, I'm always running late!  LOL!

Supplies Used:  Some very old, old product from Top Line Creations...which no longer exists.

And the last but not least is this layout I did of my oldest son, Daniel.  Another one that I did for two challenges.  hehe!  There's nothing wrong with multi-tasking!  First, I did this for one of the School of Scrap Assignments over at Simply Obsessed.  We were to create a layout using a song from the year we were born (1973).  eek!  I chose "I Believe in You" by Johnnie Taylor.  And other challenge was over at Scrap4Life.  It was the September "Use that Stash" challenge.  This time we had to use up some of those rub-ons.  So I blew off the dust on these Making Memories rub-ons and worked away!  hehe!   I have so many of these!!  Oh,  and I used a sketch for this, also.  Surpise!  hehe!  This time it was from CIS Stylish Sketches.  Another awesome sketch blog!  Isn't this a gorgeous sketch?!  You've got to check out this blog!

Products Used:  TLC Cardstock, Kaiser Craft PP (Cabbage Patch), Autumn Leaves clear buttons, Making Memories rub-ons, Basic Grey letter stickers, 3 Bugs in a Rug Tag, White Uni-bal Pen, Black Zig Writer.

Oh, and I almost forgot...I did this card using some scrap!  Woohoo!!  I love when I use up my scraps!

And just a friendly reminder...the Scrap4Life Cyber Crop begins tomorrow at midnight!!  Hope to see you there!!!

Fun weekend!

Finally, after two years in Florida, we visited the much talked about town of St. Augustine this weekend!  It was soooo pretty!!!  It reminded me so much of Old San Juan in Puerto Rico.  The Fort was my favorite part.  It was absolutely beautiful!

I love this photo of Bianca with the Fort in the background.

Here are a few more pictures we took in the Fort:

I loved the downtown, also, especially all the unique little shops and old buildings.

And isn't this the funniest picture?  We spotted him outside one of the shops.  Too cute!

Daniel's meets Michael Jordan!  hehe!  Actually, he's made out of wax.  This was a the Old Wax Museum.  Doesn't he look so real?

I loved the horse drawn carriages, too!!  There were tons!

And we can thank "Tio Johnny" for this one!  That's what happens when you leave him in charge of the twins for a bit.

And now turning to some scrappin'....here are a couple of layouts I did last week.  And yes, they are more pictures from the twins' first birthday.  I love the pictures of Jaz!!  Too adorable!!
Supplies Used:  Bazzill Cardstock, Basic Grey Cupcake Collections (paper, stickers, rubons), American Craft thickers, Heidie Swapp Bling (ruby), Kaiser Craft Bling (teal), White Uni-bal Pen, Red Zig Writer, Chocolate Zig Writer, Tim Holtz ink (Tea Dye), buttons

Supplies Used:  Basic Grey Cupcake Collection (cardstock, paper, letter stickers), Prima Flower, Autumn Leaves clear buttons, floss, photo turn, Dollar Store foam letters, Black Zig Writer, Tim Holtz Ink (Tea Dye), Stampin' Up Ink (Black), White Puffy Paint

Well, it's off to dance lessons and baseball practice!  Have a wonderful and blessed week!!!

5. Put links of those blogs on yours.
6. Leave a message on the blogs you have nominated.

2.  Kazan - If you haven't seen this girl's cards!!  You are missing out!  She is amazing!  I'm not much of a cardmaker but after getting to know Kazan and her amazing card sketches, I have found a new love for cardmaking!  You have to check out her and Laura's coolest sketch site 2 Sketches 4 You

3.  Jenney - This girl is so sweet!!!  I have been so lucky to work with her on the Scrap4Life design team!  And her photography...FABULOUS!!

Cards for Heroes!

Hi!!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!  I just wanted to post about something one of the S4L girls told us about.  Thanks, Jenney!  Jennifer McGuire from CK is hosting a card drive for our soldiers.  As soon as I heard about this, I was all on it.  All you need to do is send in your holiday cards to the address on her blog.  I went through my box of handmade cards and found at least 25 Christmas cards, put them in a big yellow envelope and mailed them out!

I couldn't even imagine having a loved one overseas.  Although it's not much, I am glad I was able to do a little something for these soldiers who are away from their family and friends.  May God watch over over them and keep them safe!  I hope you can participate!  Also, if you are not a scrapbooker or cardmaker, they will take store bought cards, too.

Before I go, just want to share a couple of layouts I did earlier in the week!  Yep, still working on the twins' first birthday party pics.  That's what happens when you take way too many pictures!  LOL!  Here's the birthday boy:

Supplies used:  Basic Grey Cupcake Collection (paper, letters, stickers, & chipboard), Doodlebug Paper Frills, Dollar Store foam letters, Colorbox Ink (Chestnut Roan), Chocolate Zig Writer and White Puffy Paint

And here's another "birthday" layout I did using the this week's sketch from Creative Scrappers.

Supplies Used:  Basic Grey Cupcake Collection (paper & letters), buttons, floss, paper clip, Chocolate Zig Writer, Colorbox Ink (Chestnut Roan) and Chocolate Zig Writer

Enjoy the rest of your week!  God Bless!

Sunday Scrappin'...

Woohoo!!  Finally, after a week of no scrappin', I was able to sit down and scrap!  This is my "me" time and when I don't get my "me" time, "me" is not happy!!!  hehe!!!  I have been participating in Simply Obsessed's "Back to School - School of Scrap" challenges.  They have been so much fun!! As you'll shortly see, I've scrapped some pictures I normally would not have scrapped.  But I'm glad I did!!

My first assignment was English.  We were given several journaling prompts and had to choose one.  I chose "Proud Moments"!  Here I am, high hair and all, during my senior year in high school.  Don't laugh!!!  hehe!  I used the September sketch from My Sketch World to create this layout.

Supplies Used: Fancy Pants (Clair de Lune) patterned paper, diecuts, rick rack, Basic Grey letter stickers, Prima flowers, American Craft brad, Making Memories velvet brad, Colorbox Ink (chestnut roan), and Zig Writer (chocolate)

For our second assignment, Science, we were to do a layout including mammals (other than humans).  I used some pictures during our trip to Lowry Park Zoo last year.  These had been sitting here collecting dust for the longest already.  I used Sketch #64 from Sketch It Out to create this layout.

Supplies Used:  Basic Grey (Archaic Collection) patterned paper, diecut stickers, letter stickers, Zig Writer (chocolate), and  Colorbox Ink (Chestnut Roan)

I also created this for one the Scrap4Life September "Card" Challenge.  I was able to get 4 cards done with my leftovers from the S4L August Kit - Celebrate!  Not bad, huh?!

And now I leave you with the following card I created for the Faith Sisters' Scripture Challenges.  Last week's word was "Blessed"!  Everyday I thank God for the blessings he has granted me!  I have never felt so blessed than I do at this point in time in my life.  God has blessed me with a beautiful family, husband, home.  And the list goes on and on!  Today, as I was watching Carlos read a book to the kids before bedtime, I could not resist my smile!  I felt blessed!  Here is my card that I can now add to my other cards:

John 20:29 "...Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

Remember to Thank God everyday for the blessings he has granted you.  God Bless You!

Another busy week!

Well, really when is it not?!  I didn't scrap all week so I was starting to get a bit cranky there for a bit!  hehe!

Yesterday, we spent the afternoon at the St. Petersburg pier with Carlos' family.  It was very pretty (and very hot)!  I can't believe I've lived near here for 2 years and had never visited it!  It was a very nice afternoon!

Here's a picture of the pier & of the gang!

It was also "Family Fun" Day at the pier.

The kids enjoyed getting balloons....

Uhm....no swordfighting, please!  Why?  Because you could get hit and go flying into the wine store next door and land in a chest full of wine bottles!  Yes, that was Daniel!  Thank goodness, there was no damage!  That could have gotten a bit expensive!

Afterwards we went to the little aquarium, the kids met Nemo and Dori!  hehe!

Then it was off to feed the pelicans!  It was kind of cool!

BTW, today is Grandparent's Day!!!  Bianca was lucky to have two of her grandparents in town to join her Friday morning for "Goodies with Grandparents" at school!  She woke her grandfather up at 6:30am!  lol!  So much for sleeping in "Grandpa"!

Well, I did get to scrap a bit this afternoon.  Woohoo!!!  I think this post is long enough so I'll share my creations with you tomorrow!  Have a *blessed* week!!!
