Can you believe we are half-way through this week?! Goodness, this week is flying by! But I feel good as I have been getting lots done! My house is slowly but surely becoming organized, we are finally back on a routine here and most importantly my scrappin' mojo is making it's way back! Creating Stencils

I just loved how it turned out and know I will be using this technique in the future.

Create a Stencil Technique Instructions:

1. Punch window sheet to create stencil shape. Cardstock will work just as well if you don't have a window sheet.

2. Label "front side" so inked side is not placed on cardstock.

3. Hold stencil in place and sponge ink through stencil.

I scrapped!!!

It has been months since I have sat down to scrapbook. For some reason I had just lost the desire to. So on Monday morning I headed to the scrapbook store and bought me some new goodies to see if I could get myself motivated. And it worked, that night I scrapped 2 layouts!! Woohoo!! But the funny thing is, I didn't use any of my new goodies! hehe! Seeing all the fall decorations out at the malls, schools, etc. I decided to work on a few of my fall photos from last year. The pictures are from a trip we took to the pumpkin patch last year. The kids had a wonderful time. Can't wait to do it again this year. Enjoy!

The Family Place

I am so excited to be part of a new group here in Florida where we get together and make cards for people who could use really use some cheering up. This week we are sending cards to "The Family Place" of Orlando. These are victims of domestic abuse who are really trying to make a better life for them and their children. Going through my stamp sets I have decided that I really need to invest in some "cheering up" stamps. LOL! But was happy to find this stamp set from Unity called "Something Within". Might be a little "over the head" for the younger children but hopefully the other girls in the group will have something for them.

Wow! It has been a loooooong time since I have blogged! This summer has been crazy! But in a good way! It was one great summer! But now things are slowly settling down and we are getting ourselves ready for the new school year! Wahoo!!

The reason for today's post is to share with you a card drive that Jennifer McGuire and a couple other girls have going on right now. It is for a 5 year old girl who is battling cancer. Some things to share...

The other day I got a few hours for myself and was able to do some scrapbooking! I did 3 layouts! Woohoo! Take a look:

Here's my baby girl, Jaz! One of her nicknames is Jazi! I'm not too crazy about how my cutting turned out (need a new pair of scissors) but oh well, it done! I used some very old papers from Tinkering Ink for this layout! Still love them though.

And he's my oldest, Daniel, enjoying the Easter Egg Hunt. He's funny! At first, he said he wasn't going to partake but after seeing all the eggs scattered in the lawn and knowing they were filled with lots of goodies, he grabbed a plastic bag from the kitchen and a huntin' he went! LOL!

Oh, and I was able to finish up my Father's Day card for my husband. I decided to go with a different color than the ones used on my other cards. The brown was getting a little boring! LOL! It's simple but I like the way it turned out.

Oh my GOODNESS!!! I got my new SU! catalog yesterday and I am in complete AWE! This catalog is incredible!!!! WOWEE!! I can't wait to share all the new stuff coming out!!! AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!! I think I have every page tabbed! LOL! I don't think my husband will appreciate that too much! haha! The new "in colors" are GORGEOUS!! The new stamps...WOW!! I'm in love with it all!!! I'm in so much trouble! I want it all! LOL!

Dance Recitals

It was a weekend full of dance recitals! So fun!! Both my girls had their first dance recitals! They looked so beautiful! Yes, proud mama talking here! Bianca did great! She was a bit nervous at first but thanks to her awesome teacher, she made her feel much better about performing in front of everyone. Jaz, on the other hand, refused to dance! Guess who made her debut also! Yep, I had to go up on stage with her. EEK! But that didn't help, she still refused to perform. LOL! Here are some photos of our weekend!

And just an FYI, Stampin' Up! releases their "Last Chance" list tomorrow!! What does this mean??? This means these stamps will no longer! Once their sold out, their sold out!! The new catalog will be available on July 1st!! I'm so excited ! Can't wait!!

Yep, I'm in card creation mode working on all the awesome challenges over at Stampin' Out Alzheimers! I bought this cute Stampin' Up set months ago and have been dying to use it! I finally had a reason to for one of the SOA challenges. The challenge was to use *any winged thing* on your card...angel, bird, butterfly, etc. And now that I have used my set, I'm hooked! When I first saw the "Happy Father's Day" stamp from Stampin's Up's "All Holiday" Stamp Set, I wasn't too sure about it! I had a hard time with it at first! But after playing around with some paper and design ideas, I love how my cards turned out using the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment from this set! Here are some of the cards I did using this stamp...

Missionettes Camp "Preparing for Battle"

WOW! I had an awesome weekend!! I joined my daughter and her fellow missionettes at their annual "powette" and oh boy, was it such a rewarding experience!! It was so beautiful to see so many young girls serving and praising the Lord. And they had such a cute theme going on!! The theme was "Preparing for Battle" and all the girls were dressed up as soldiers! Too cute!! Here are some photos from our weekend....

I finally scrapped! I think it's been over a month! WOW! That's a very long time for me! Life has just been very busy these past few weeks! I did this page for one of the challenges at this weekend's cyber crop over at Scrap4Life. The challenge was to use a black & white photo! And I had the cutest photo of my niece sitting on my table just screaming to be scrapped! Isn't she the cutest thing, evah?! My sister took the photo and I did some editing in Photoshop and voila!

Whew! It's been way too long since I have created something! I was itching to create so bad that I put all the tax returns that I need to get done to the side and worked on this card a couple of nights ago! I have already told you all about my newest addiction...stamping!! LOL! I bought this cute stamp set, "Chocolate Bunnies," about a month ago from Verve Stamps and had so much coloring it! Isn't that the cutest stamp?! In addition, Basic Grey is Scrap4Life's Manufacturer of the Month, so I got to play with the awesome "Euphoria Collection" from Basic Grey! So much fun!! Bianca's 6th Party Luau!

Wow! It's been a long time since I've posted! Life has been busy, busy, busy!!!! But now kids just started spring break so hopefully things will be a bit calmer this week! Yesterday, we celebrated Bianca's 6th birthday "Hawaiian Style"! The kids (and adults) had a wonderful time! Thanks to everyone who attended in making this day extra special for Bianca! Now, here's a glimpse of what our day was like!! Enjoy!

Anniversary Gift Set

This weekend it is our pastor and wife's wedding anniversary. I was asked to make an anniversary card and a something to put the gift card in. They will be giving them this during Sunday service. Eek! But I had so much fun putting this gift set together. Loved the way it turned out!

Here is a close-up of the card. I even made a matching envelope (that was a first for me).

And a close-up of the gift card tin. I've had this tin for months now and new one day it would come in handy. The tin actually came with brads in it. I stored the brads and saved the tin. So FYI, don't throw away those gorgeous tins some of your scrap supplies come in!

And this is the inside of the gift box. The verse is from Song of Songs 8:7 "Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away." I put the same verse in the inside of the card.

CRAZY BUSY WEEK!!

It's been a crazy around!! Carlos had been working tons of hours and that has kept me very busy around here with the kiddos! But he took Friday off and I treated myself to a much needed massage, pedicure and manicure!!! It was heaven!!!

However, I did manage to sneak away into my scrap room after the kiddies fell asleep and get a bit of scrappin' done!! Woohoo!!

This first page I did for the Scrap4Life March "Sketch" Challenge hosted by Carla. This is Daniel during last year's spring baseball. He loves his baseball!! I think he can tell you every MBL player out there! hehe! For this layout, I used some October Afternoon papers I had left over from my Simply Obsessed's October Kit. I love these papers!!

Yes, that's Jeremy eating dirt! My kids have issues!! LOL!

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten much scrappin' done at all!! My husband has been working lots of hours so it's been me and 4 kids all week and this weekend. I am in desperate need of some "ME" time!! However, I did sneak in this layout and card last night after all the kiddies went to bed.

In addition to my cards, I also worked on another page of "My Prayers for You" book that I am working on as part of Faith Sisters' My Prayers for You challenge! Go check it out! For Week 2, our prayer focused on "protecting" our children. Like Michelle says in her devotion...unfortunately, we can't be everywhere that our children are all the time. But God can!! We can't see everything that they see, or hear everything that they hear. But God Can!!! We can't possibly know all of the evil lurking to lure them in. But Got does!! He can and will protect them! This week's verse and prayer is as follows:

Scripture: No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord. ~Isaiah 54:17

Prayer: Father, please hide my children from any kind of evil influences that would come against them. Keep them safe from any kind of hidden dangers and let no weapons formed against them be able to prosper. Thank you Lord, for Your many promises of protection. Help in the obedience of Your Will so that they never come out from Your umbrella of protection wherever they go. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

The prayer is from Stormie Omartian's book "The Power of a Praying Parent", which I am also reading. It's an excellent book and highly recommended! And here is my page for Week 2:

A Scrappin' Weekend!!

So how was everyone's weekend?! I had a fun weekend scrapping. Not lots but a few to share.

The first layout is of the twins when they were about 6 months old and NOT mobile. haha! I used the December kit from Simply Obsessed for this layout.

So I didn't get much accomplished during this week's cyber crop over at Scrap4Life. It was one of those weeks, which means not lots of scrap time! These twins are keeping me busy!! They are very curious and into everything!!! Here's a photo I took of them the other day...both of them squeezed into our refrigerator! LOL! Jeremy learned how to open the refrigerator door this week!

I did two layouts and one card for the crop. I still have to take a photo of the other layout, so I'll have to post that later in the week.

It was a fun Valentine's around here!! My Valentine's started a bit early. I came home from Bianca's Valentine's Day class party yesterday and was surprised with these beautiful red roses from my wonderful husband. He did good! There were 2 dozen!!!

And although he has been under the weather this week, he took me out to dinner last night! Just the two of us!! Today was spent just chillin' at home with the kids!

His Holy Name Challenge 2

So I am on to our 2nd "His Holy Name"challenge...yes, I'm already a bit behind. hehe! But I am determined to complete them and have a beautiful book describing the names of our precious Lord. Our first description word was "holy". You can see my first page here. Our second word is SOVEREIGN. In Patter's devotion, she talked about how God is sovereign and has power and authority over all creation. He is the ruler of all things! What struck me most about Patter's devotion is when she reminds us that our lives are not our own. He has a plan for each and everyone of us. And we must believe that and rest in the fact that he is in control. I had to learn this the hard way...to just trust in Him! Here is the 2nd page of my book....

Scripture Challenges Week 2 & 3

This week I worked on the scripture challenges for week 2 & 3. Week 2's challenge words was kindness. I love this quote from Abraham Lincoln that Patter mentions in her devotion..."the only way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend." How absolutely true! There were so many verses I read during my study of *kindness*. Although I can't fit them all on my card, I have been writing the verses down and keeping them in a binder for quick reference. Here is my card and verse:

Colossians 3:12 "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothes yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience."

Now, on to week 3...for week 3, our challenge word was beauty. In her devotion, Patter spoke about the beauty of God's creation and about the beauty of our hearts. Sometimes we spend so much time on our outward appearance (that which important to today's society) that we forget to spend time beautifying our inner self. God doesn't look at our outward appearance...he looks to our hearts. I pray and ask God everyday to continue to cleanse me and beautify my heart. It's a process, but I know through prayer and studying his word, his work will be done in me. Here's is my card:

1 Peter 3: 3-4 "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."

1 Samuel 16:7 "The Lord does not look at things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
