The Family Place

I am so excited to be part of a new group here in Florida where we get together and make cards for people who could use really use some cheering up. This week we are sending cards to "The Family Place" of Orlando. These are victims of domestic abuse who are really trying to make a better life for them and their children. Going through my stamp sets I have decided that I really need to invest in some "cheering up" stamps. LOL! But was happy to find this stamp set from Unity called "Something Within". This is one of my favorite stamp sets and I thought it would be perfect. Might be a little "over the head" for the younger children but hopefully the other girls in the group will have something for them.

This first card uses this week's sketch over at SCS.

Cards for Kate!

Wow!  It has been a loooooong time since I have blogged!  This summer has been crazy!  But in a good way!  It was one great summer!  But now things are slowly settling down and we are getting ourselves ready for the new school year!  Wahoo!!

The reason for today's post is to share with you a card drive that Jennifer McGuire and a couple other girls have going on right now.  It is for a 5 year old girl who is battling cancer.  You can read more about this card drive here.  That's one great thing about being a cardmaker...I always have a stash a cards ready when I need it.  I packaged up all my cards (didn't leave out the parents & siblings) and will be mailing them in the morning.  Hope you can join us!

God Bless!
