Creating Stencils

Did you know you can create your own stencils using Stampin' Up punches?!  It is very simple to do and the result is gorgeous!!  The following is a card we did at my monthly "technique" class using Stampin' Up's Ornament Punch from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I just loved how it turned out and know I will be using this technique in the future.

Stamp Sets:  SU! Holiday Best (Level 1 Hostess Set - 115364)
Paper:  SU! Always Artichoke Cardstock (105119), SU! Whisper White Cardstock (100730), SU! Brushed Silver Cardstock (100712), SU! Ruby Red Cardstock (102030)
Inks:  SU! Sahara Sand Classic Ink (105208), SU! Always Artichoke Classic Ink (105219), SU! Ruby Red Stampin' Write Marker (102259)
Accessories:  SU! Whisper White Organza Ribbon (114319)
Tools:  Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439), SU! Textured Impressions Folder Petal-A-Plenty (116824)

Create a Stencil Technique Instructions:
1.  Punch window sheet to create stencil shape.  Cardstock will work just as well if you don't have a window sheet.
2.  Label "front side" so inked side is not placed on cardstock.
3.  Hold stencil in place and sponge ink through stencil.

Below is an awesome video created by another Stampin' Up demonstrator using this technique.  Enjoy!
